I have no idea! Does this mean what lists I belong to? (Ugh, I'm so
embarrassed.)
Lois and Clark or Superman Status
How long have you been watching L&C?
OK, let's see. . .I guess about 7 years now!
How long have you been a fan of Superman?
Since the day I saw Dean and Teri at the Emmy awards! Right away I noticed
their chemistry together, and as they were plugging "Lois and Clark;" I
turned to my mom and said, "That's going to be my new favorite show." True
story! :)
How long have you been writing?
I've been writing since I first learned how to write -- and, uh, a little
before that, actually. :) So for about 13 years. And I've been writing
"Lois and Clark" fanfic officially since I first discovered it almost
exactly a year ago! Unofficially, though, I wrote my first L&C fanfic when I
was 13, seven years ago. :)
How long have you been writing L&C fanfic?
Whoops!! That's what I get for answering the questions before I read the
whole interview!! :)
What types of Fanfic have you written?
What types? Wow. OK, I've written what could be considered WAFFs, a
revelation/drama story, and an *alternate* alternate universe story. I'm
also working on what might be considered an episode adaptation. . .and I've
written a really bad "New Krypton"ish kind of story, which I will never send
to the archive. :) Oh! And I also write L&C inspired poetry. :)
Most recent story posted? Where?
Um, I guess that would be "Love Me Once More. . . .", which was first posted
on Zoom's boards and then uploaded to the archive. :)
Favorite story you have written? Why?
Definitely "Love Me Once More", because it was so much fun, first of all,
mucking with Lex's character. I got no end of fun out of doing that. And I
loved bringing an Alt-Clark his Lois. :) That's where it all started,
actually. I couldn't sleep one night after reading the episode guides on
Zoomway's site because I couldn't bear the thought of Alt-Clark not having
his Lois!
Current project/projects?
Well, there's that episode adaptation I was talking about. I'm also working
on something that may never get finished (I haven't touched it in months!)
that deals with Lois and Clark's college years. . .if they'd gone to the
same college. :)And two other ones that are in such premature stages there's
not much to say about them. :)
Personal picks of other Fanfics you have read?
Hoo, boy. So many! I loved Irene Dutchak's "Taking Responsibility". Blaise
Pascal's "John and Lois and Clark and Joan". Wendy Richards and Yvonne
Connel's "Brief Encounter". Rose's "A Lie of the Mind" and "That Lois Lane
of Mine". And a ton more! And there are so many I haven't even read yet
that I *know* I'm going to love. . .(Oh, and I even though I haven't even
finished it yet, I adore Jeff Brogden's "Lost and Found".)
General Interview Questions
What attracted you to writing Fanfic and what about it do you enjoy?
I've always been a writer. It's one of the constants of my personality.
And when I found out that there was a community of people writing about my
favorite characters of all time, I was ecstatic! So it was kind of a
natural progression for me. :) Um, I enjoy getting new ideas for stories.
I enjoy daydreaming about what Lois and Clark would do in the situations
I've provided. And I really enjoy it when someone enjoys a story I've
written! :)
What about the L&C and the characters do you like the most?
Their love for each other. :) And Lois -- I'm just starting to understand
Lois's character. I can't even describe exactly what it is that makes me so
endeared towards her. But I do enjoy the Mad Dog aspect of her personality.
)
How do you interpret them in your work?
Well, I hope! D No, really, I am just beginning to understand the
characters better -- hopefully that will come out in future writing. I feel
like some of the writing I've done so far hasn't captured the characters as
well as I would have liked to.
How did you begin writing in general?
In second grade we got "real books" to write our stories in. I'm pretty
sure I wrote a story about the Care Bears and some hot air balloons. :) And
that's where it all began. :)
What are you working on now and where do you see it going?
Do I have to answer this? :) I'm so afraid it'll never get done. . .I'm
working on a story that takes place at the end of season one, just after Lex
has proposed to Lois. Then, during all the brou-ha-ha that follows, our
favorite New Kryptonians show up a little early. . .Now watch, I'll never
get it done now that I've talked about it! *hides head*
What is your opinion about the following types of L&C fanfic's?
Action?
Love it!
Drama?
Love it!
Humor?
Love it! (See a pattern here?)
Round Robin?
If you can believe it, I've never actually read a round robin fic. Any good
reccomendations? :)
Nfic?
Hmm. . .Haven't read a lot of this, but I've liked what I did read.
Generally I read PG versions, though.
Has *everything* been done in your opinion, and if not, what is left?
No!! Everything's left! Everyone has differewnt views and opinions and stories
to contribute to L&C fanfiction. As long as people have imaginations,
there's new stories out there. IMHO. :)
What do you think makes the best story?
I have no earthly idea! :) I'd say a good mix of drama, action, humour, and
a good dose of romance. Cause that's what every L&C episode had. :) But
then again I've read a ton of stories that don't mix things -- just drama,
or just romance, or just comedy -- that I adore! So, see, I don't know! :)
(I'm really coming off well here, aren't I? p)
Would you like to add a link or URL to your favorite fanfic for the readers
to sample your writing?
just the archive. :)
Where is the best place for a reader to locate your work?
http//www.lcfanfic.com/ -- under "W". :)

Oh, dear. I never know what to say. (You could never tell from this
interview that I'm a writer, could you? :)) Well, I am just so happy to be
included in the Writer's Showcase -- the second I got this interview in my
in-box I ran to tell anyone who'd listen. :) So, thank you for including me.
And thank you to every writer and reader out there who is keeping the spirit
of "Lois and Clark;" alive! When I first discovered this online community
that loved the show as much as I did, I felt like I'd come home. I always
thought I was a nut for loving a show so much -- it's good to know I'd have
company in the looney bin! :) And, I think I'm babbling -- something I'm apt
to do. :) So I'll finish up now by saying thank you again. I'm so grateful
to be part of such a great community, and to be included here in the
Showcase in the company of so many great authors!
