Welcome to the Lois & Clark: The New Adventure of Superman Writer’s Showcase, pioneered by Annie Lansbury back in 1998! In the last few years, FoLCdom has seen a resurgence\u2014old FoLCs coming back, new FoLCs joining, long-time lurkers de-lurking. It’s heartening to know just how awesome and long lasting FoLCdom is!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this year, Carrie Rene started a monthly newsletter (which gets posted on the L&C Fanfic Message Boards<\/a> and in the Discord server\u2014yes! We have a #loisclark Discord server<\/a>!), and with that, she’s brought back the writer’s showcase! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, in keeping with Annie’s famous words, without further ado we are proud and honored to present this week’s Writer in the Writer’s Showcase …<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sara, Carrie, and Michael<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carrie Rene aka CRene<\/p>\n\n\n\n Crene1977@gmail.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n North Carolina<\/p>\n\n\n\n I started watching when the show originally aired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The one that drew me in was The Phoenix. After Season 2 The Phoenix aired I started recording the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I still have my stories I wrote in 4th<\/sup> grade. I won Young Authors for our class that year and I\u2019ve been going non-stop since then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I started writing fanfiction after the episode And The Answer Is. I didn\u2019t show them to anyone until 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I like to write sort of like the show, where there is a crime with a touch of romance and comedy in it. So my favorite is the drama type of fics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Murder Over Metropolis. I had that idea in my head for years, and after I started writing it, I couldn\u2019t stop until it was finished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I have three fics I want to start writing. One is a crossover fic with Superman & Lois, where our Lois & Clark time travel to Superman & Lois\u2019s time. Second fic is one where Lois is investigating the increase of drugs on the streets of Metropolis. And Clark is helping a teenager keep custody of her little sister. Neither of them realizes at first, that the stories are connected. Finally, a story that involves the Metropolis University football team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anchor by SuperBek, anything by KSaraSara, Anybody\u2019s Baby by AnnieM, and many more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n How you can take characters from a show and create a story that we didn\u2019t get to see on the show. I enjoy; having the main story for us, and then taking a left turn to a new adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How Clark has two lives; all he wants is to be human, the man. Yet he is an alien that can save the world. Lois is a fierce woman, who works in a male-dominated world, and doesn\u2019t like to ask for help. These two characters have chemistry, each of them starts to lean on each other making them better together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A great adventure that shows feeling with humor, romance, and action. If the story makes me think I am watching an episode that should have aired, then I love it. If it moves along quickly, but not too fast, I will read it.
